Our Approach

A Partners in Development Leadership Institute is a series of well-timed workshops that are customized and focused to address the business issues and culture of your organization. Working with you, we identify both the business issues facing your organization and the leadership requirements needed to address them. Then we combine the two into a Leadership Institute that builds leadership talent while tackling these real issues for your organization. Participants apply their learning to these issues both in participant teams and back on their jobs. Over the duration of the Leadership Institute participants complete a variety of assessment tools including a 360° assessment. Each institute is embedded with individual development planning and coaching.

Partners in Development and Learn Associates have collaborated with numerous corporations and not-for-profit organizations to turn a series of leadership development workshops into a curriculum that translates learning into high level performance and organizational results. Sessions are designed to combine the best of leadership research with practical application. In groups of approximately 15-20, participants who are strongly motivated to work on their leadership development, learn, apply, and receive feedback as they make the strong business connections between their actions and their organization’s results. We know that the more learning is linked and practiced over time the better chance for exemplary results. Our Leadership Institutes maximize your leaders’ ability to apply skills they learn back on the job and to build strong bonds with other leaders for on-going peer coaching and networking.

Using assessments, focus groups, or existing organization data, we work with you to select the workshops best suited for your organization’s custom institute. For example, a Leadership Institute might be structured as follows:

    • Curriculum of between four to six well-timed workshops for approximately 15-20 participants.

    • Sessions held in convenient locations and scheduled to minimize costs and maximize learning-to-performance.

    • Self-and multi-rater assessments to evaluate current skills and set developmental goals.

    • Individual coaching with instructors and peers.

    • A recognition celebration to recognize the achievements and progress of participants and the organization.
