We are being judged by a new yardstick; not just how smart we are, or by our training and expertise, but also how well we handle ourselves and each other.

Facts to Consider

    • Emotional Intelligence (EI) is now taking center stage in leadership and organizational development.

    • 90% of the difference between outstanding and average leaders is linked to EI.

    • Is a leader communicating tasks that are clearly defined, time based, and measurable?

    • EI is two times as important as IQ and technical skills combined.

    • There is a direct relationship between exhibiting high levels of EI and the financial gain of an organization - up to 30% of return on investment (ROI).

    • You can increase your EI.

    • EI amplifies productivity and creates positive, respectful relationships.
Research by Daniel Goleman and the Hay Group clearly show that the single most important factor in leader performance and advancement is not one's IQ but one's emotional intelligence or EI. In fact, EI is four times as important to overall success. We now know that individuals and organizations that can learn to operate in emotionally intelligent ways will remain vital and dynamic in the competitive marketplace. The good news is that emotional intelligence can be learned!

Leading with Emotional Intelligence explores key EI skills that anyone can acquire, explains their importance, and demonstrates how they can be fostered to advance organizational results. Participants will improve their ability to build performance-based relationships, understand others, and work toward positive outcomes.
